Nazca Civilization tapestry
The Nazca culture pre-dates the Inca civilization and Spanish colonialism in modern Peru. Known for the “Nazca Lines,” man made lines that depict animals or patterns from the sky, which remain visible today due to the dry desert environment preserving them. Being in the same environment, archaeologists have been able to re-discover textiles from 100 AD. The source material for this design is just one of many preserved tapestries from that time and place. Which we should be great full to be able to appreciate and take from today.
